UK fashion exports

UK Fashion Exports is an independent trade association supported by its  members. They offer practical help to British exporters and to overseas buyers, agents and press.

Membership is open to UK based manufacturers and designers of clothing, knitwear, accessories and footwear. For members there is an export marketing service and information and for buyers and agents they offer free sourcing of merchandise from the UK.

UK Fashion Exports also offers the following services to members: 

Marketing advice: Advice on export strategy, developing collections, identifying markets and appropriate trade shows. Help with building lists of international buyers, agents and Press. Advice to help you draw up agency agreements which comply with EU regulations.

Overseas exhibitions & missions: Access to Government grants towards the cost of major overseas events – beneficial rate for members! Funding to help you visit some new markets.



Library of commercial information: Market reports, Press and Buying office lists, retail directories, mail order catalogues, export reference books, directories of agents and fashion centres, UK and overseas trade and consumer press. Statistical information.

Use of London showrooms at 5 Portland Place Lower Regent Street London: Free of charge for short meetings. Special low rates for longer bookings.



Buyers and agents: Appointments with overseas visitors to the UK.



The exporter: A monthly newsletter.

Free legal & business helpline: 24 hour Commercial and Legal Helpline. 24 hour Business Assistance Helpline providing access to specialist help in an emergency.



Insurance: Special rates for members. Greater cover at lower premiums.



Associate membership: For companies supplying services to the trade; such as agents, consultants, travel agents, financial advisers, freight forwarders, educational institutions, exhibition organisers, manufacturers of fabrics and trimmings etc.
