Confidentiality Agreement

January 26, 2025 - January 26, 2025

Imagine this scenario. You have worked on your collection for eight months sourcing amazing fine silks, the highest qualities of trims and the silhouettes have been toiled and fitted to perfection. The big day arrives and you are off to showcase your collection at a show. There you are on your stand when a “buying representative” from a well known retailer gives you her card and explains that she is an AAB on day dresses and would like to take a photograph of the collection to show to her buyer who is currently travelling abroad. What do you do? What do you say?

Well, the natural response is to say no; after all this is your IP. You have lovingly worked on your collection for months and this is your big chance to sell! However the AAB could be genuine. When I was a senior buyer at the Arcadia Group I often sent out my assistants to shows because I couldn’t get out of the office! So have you just thrown away your big chance?  No, not at all because this is where you are going to use your Confidentiality Agreement. You can explain that they are more than welcome providing that they sign your confidentiality agreement. This agreement has been specifically drawn up by experts and will save you money! Remember this is downloadable and can then incorporate your logo and business contact details.
