Platform 3

September 13, 2025 - September 13, 2025

Platform3 has been commissioned to design and build a website for New Contemporaries, Britain’s most important open exhibition for emerging artists. Read on to find out

The website will be launched in September 2004 to coincide with the opening of the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2004 exhibition at the Liverpool Biennial. It will showcase the work of the 32 selected artists, and provide background information on the selectors, tour dates and venues.

Exhibiting artists will be able to network and discuss ideas in a closed-access area of the website. The press area will allow journalists and critics to register their details and download print-ready images.

Platform3 will design a new look for each year’s exhibition. Information from past exhibitions will gradually be added to the website, providing an archive of work since 1989 and a history of the New Contemporaries annual exhibition since the 1950s.
