Opportunity to take ownership of fashion production unit/teaching and business support

September 14, 2025 - September 14, 2025

If your organisation is interested in taking ownership of the operations recently run by London Apparel (LARC) please read the current status below with details on how to proceed with expression of interest.  If your organisation is not interested, please pass the details along to anyone you feel may be interested (both public and private).

LARC current status:  Alexander Lawson Jacobs Chartered Accountants, Corporate Recovery & Insolvency Specialists assigned as administrators and confirmed that LARC had gone into receivership. ·       Confirmed facilities currently offered by LARC as chiefly Teaching office, Sample/Production and Studio units.

·       Confirmed timelines to find solution (buyer/consortium of buyers) within 4 weeks from the 7th July.

·       Good cooperation from the landlord Mark Anthony on future lease negotiation (i.e. interest in continuation of a LARC-style centre).

·       £10k currently in the account to sustain the project. Some redundancies have taken place with a skeleton staff left to keep initiative going in the interim.

·       Presented an Estimated Statement of Affairs as at 30th June 2008 which shows circa £160K of LARC creditors. (which, as I understood, would not be the responsibility of any new owner – pls confirm with the insolvency specialist)

·       Production unit currently occupied by Star Shape on a license basis for two weeks in the interim.

·       Upfront capital costs for project going forward are in the region of £20-30k (which I understood as the purchase price for taking over the business- pls confirm with the insolvency specialist)

·       There will be no LDA grant agreement in place to cover operating costs – so operations will need to be funded through commercial revenues or through other public funding streams.

·       Alexander Lawson Jacobs, is preparing a forecast of monthly operating costs and revenues as a base for consideration of what the ongoing operations could entail – please request that info directly from the contact below.
