Not every designer does this but its so easy to get confused and for core critical measurements I have always found it very important to monitor the first fits carefully and compare to the pattern.



The core measurements are itemised on the card and you need to compare the finished garment to the actual measurements to what the client wants and the pattern. This is a good check for heavy handed machinists. You don’t want to re-work and amend a pattern if its the fault of the sample machinist
