 though it seems true that when the focus is shifted from such commonplace matters like patterns and grading, processing, logistics and sourcing, predominantly all things design, retail and technology related, support and guidance is somewhat less accessible.

So, what of those neglected grey areas that fail to fall under such touched upon criteria? What indeed? Here at Fashion Capital, we endeavour to bring you the information that’s perhaps not so readily accessible or openly available. Whilst we appreciate that we surely can’t cover each and every related aspect, well, there’s nothing to stop us from trying now, is there!

Legal: The London and Leicester based Joint Fashion Industry Team (JOFIT) is the second stage of the sponsored Modernising Government project in the Fashion Industry, which aims to provide a better business service, to reduce fraud and by using the resources of multiple agencies, to improve regulatory understanding and compliance throughout the fashion industry. Notably, it also has a close working relationship with numerous trade associations, unions and ethnic groups.

JOFIT offers its services to both new and established fashion businesses, initially in the form of helpful literature and educational, joint agency visits that focus on informative problem solving and, perhaps more insightfully, problem avoidance.
