The Benefits of Making in the UK!

07-10-2021

Newsletter 6thOctober 2021

The Importance of MakeUK

The Manufacturers’ Organisation MakeUK is celebrating some of the best and most influential in the industry with regional, in-person, Awards & Dinner events throughout October and November. Fashion-Enter’s CEO Jenny Holloway is thrilled to be invited as an inspiring after-dinner speaker at the South regional event on 19thOctober in Swindon.

With the UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) due to take place at the end of this month the protection of the environment is high on the agenda and this is where manufacturing in the UK can really shine. Jenny Holloway comments: “To think, no flying in of production from off or near shore, saving jobs in the UK and making garments in ethically audited, leading status factories. Makes you wonder why it has taken retailers’ and brands so long to see the benefits of making in the UK!”
