The Apprenticeship Route

Did you know that employers think that qualified apprentices are more employable than those with any other qualifications? With GCSE results day just around the corner, 12th August, the Fashion-Enter team highly recommend an apprenticeship to enable individuals to build the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career.

Fashion-Enter is a leading apprenticeship provider offering quality training at all levels for the fashion and textiles sector. An apprenticeship gives individuals the opportunity to work for a real employer, earn a real salary whilst gaining valuable workplace skills, experience and ultimately an accredited qualification. Anyone living in England, over 16-years old and not in full-time education can apply to be an apprentice in the fashion industry.

Outrage as Successful Supply Chain System Galaxius Gets Ignored

A brand new Sustainable Supply Chain Optimisation project has been awarded £1.4m funding by Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, on behalf of the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF) Manufacturing Made Smarter Challenge. While any technological developments to support transparency and sustainability are to be applauded the news of this project comes as a huge blow to Mark Randle and his Galaxius system, which is effectively doing the same thing and is used in working factories such as Fashion-Enter.

CEO of Fashion-Enter, Jenny Holloway comments: “I don’t really understand this to be honest! £1.4m when there is a system already out there that certainly does the full traceability on clothing with Mark Randle and Galaxius. I just wonder how this funding has actually occurred? Surely there would be some kind of mapping exercise first to ensure that there is no duplication of precious financial resources?”
