Belles to Join the ‘Spirit of Christmas’ Shopping Fair
Ethical Brand Directory (EBD) is hosting a 7-day pop-up at the ‘Spirit of Christmas’ shopping event, showcasing a wide-range of ethical and sustainable products under one roof and our in-house brand Belles of London will be joining them.
The Spirit of Christmas fair will take place at Olympia, London from Monday 4th – Sunday 10th November and Belles of London will be located in the EBD’s ‘Ethical & Sustainable Edit’ section. The pop up is the ideal place to source sustainable, ethical and unique gifts with positive brand values whilst enjoying all the various exhibitors, workshops and experiences the fair has to offer.

Courses at The Brand New Tailoring Academy
We are just weeks away from opening the doors of our state of the art Tailoring Academy! While the builders finish preparing the 11,500 square foot space the team have finalised the details on all the courses the Tailoring Academy will provide. Alongside tailoring specific courses such as Introductory, Intermediary and the Accelerator to Bespoke Cutting Diploma the academy will also offer options in Pattern Cutting, Stitching Skills, Production Skills, EFI Optitex, Retail & Management as well as a variety of Taster Courses. The rolling programme will include courses at all levels of ability and will be fully announced in due course.

New Belles Designs Available
This week we have been adding new, one-off items from our Belles collective. Remember that bold zebra print we previewed a couple of weeks ago? Here it is fashioned into a midi shirt dress, a great layering piece with a statement print. More designs will be added in the weeks to come.
Assistant Designer Apprenticeship Available with Amazon
A new apprenticeship has opened up with Amazon for an assistant designer. The ideal candidate will assist the Softline’s Private Brands WW Design team in creating and developing Private Brand products. To find out more about this exciting opportunity and to apply click here.

Stitching and Patterns 6-Week Course
Places are available for our next intake of Level 1 Stitching Academy and Perfect Patterns learners.

Saturday Stitching Success

The home stitchers and crafting market is on the up and we will be holding a selection of day / weekend courses aimed at the home sewer wanting to learn more. These will include, an introduction to sewing – making stocking fillers, alteration and upcycling techniques, introduction to the sewing machine – making a tote bag, your body your block – making made to measure separates and dresses.
