Continued Support at Every Stage
22-01-2020
Newsletter 22nd January 2020
Dear all,
Ongoing Industry Support
At FashionCapital we believe industry support should be ongoing. It’s a harsh fact that 60% of new business start-ups will go-under within three years. Take a look at the London Fashion Week schedule from 3-years ago and you’ll see names that have completely fallen off the radar. This is why we feel it is important to provide support at every stage whether you are at the very beginning or are planning to scale up your business further down the line. This week we had a meeting with swimwear brand Agnes Valentine (pictured below with Jenny Holloway), it has been 11-years since we initially met and supported this brand – and long may it continue.

Introducing Mi-bambino
Founder of new childrenswear brand ‘Mi-bambino’ may just be starting out with her latest venture but it is something she has been thinking about for a very long time. Thanks to the N17 Creative Callings business support initiative, supported by Mayor of London and the European Union, Lauren has been able to access essential business mentoring and support with the Fashion-Enter team.
Lauren comments: “I’ve been working in the industry for 21-years and I’m proud of my collection. It’s beautifully made and my market research shows the styles are on-trend. Now I need the mentoring and business support to push my brand to the next level. That’s why it’s great to be working with Fashion-Enter.”
Fashion-Enter CEO Jenny Holloway adds: “I was absolutely delighted to meet Lauren from Mi-bambino. She’s on it! Beautiful bamboo cotton, luxury childrenswear that has been designed and constructed to such a high standard. We’re now working on all those business parts that are so valuable such as cash flows, margins and budgets and then she will be ready for the big time.”
