Despite retail doom and gloom up and down the UK’s high streets outdoor clothing specialists Mountain Warehouse has seen year after year of unbroken sales growth and increased profits. According to the retailer’s full-year results, like-for-like sales increased 5.3 per cent year-on-year after it opened new distribution centres in Poland and New Zealand last year (2019) as well as 48 new stores, 33 of which were in the UK.

The Mountain Warehouse team said the growth in sales was down to its online and international customers, making up approximately a quarter of the brands total sales, along with doubling its product offering in its womenswear department.

In contrast to many trading on the UK high street Mountain Warehouse have continued to open more stores over the past year in the UK and internationally.
