TSA Collaborates with FEL to Deliver PPE Workwear Repair Training Course

31-03-2022

The Textile Services Association (TSA) has collaborated with Fashion Enter’s Fashion Technology Academy (FTA) on an industry-wide skills training course for PPE workwear repairers quality teams. The first Repair Training Course will take place 26-27 April 2022 and will earn participants a competence certification.

The TSA Knowledge Network Group has been working closely with FTA to identify key modules that will help someone with minimal knowledge to progress on to a level of competence necessary for quality management needs. This course can enable PPE/workwear quality teams to develop a stable and upskilled group of repairers. An advanced course will be scheduled within six-months.

Shyju Skariah, Technical Services Manager at the TSA said: “What’s important is that the PPE is cared for properly and that this care is logged for traceability and to manage its quality throughout its life.”

Fashion-Enter Ltd (FTA) CEO Jenny Holloway added: “Working on this new training programme with the TSA feels like a natural progression to our work on PPE over the past two-years, and it is incredibly important that the garments are maintained and cared for to ensure that they retain their protective properties. The FTA team and I are pleased to deliver this training course to employers and the first course dates are already full with a waiting list.”
