Building A Stronger Haringey Together

On the 29th November 2016, Jenny Holloway, CEO of FashionCapital & Fashion Enter attended Building a Stronger Haringey Together networking event hosted by Haringey council at River Park House, Wood Green.

Screen Shot 2016-11-30 at 9.40.00 amThe partnership event gave many businesses the opportunity to meet and discuss 2016 as it draws to an end and welcome 2017 as it fastly approaches.  In attendance alongside Fashion Enter, companies and business included Haringey Young Musicians, Argent, Alexandra Palace, ADA and more.

Priority 1; Outstanding for all – by 2018.

“By working together with schools, partners and families we provide children with the best start in life.”

Priority 2; Empower all adults to live healthy, long and fulfilling lives – by 2018.

“Our communities make healthier choices, and with our support are living more independent, fulfilling and longer lives.”

Priority 3; Clean and Safe – by 2018.

“Residents feel safer and have even more pride and respect for where they live.”

Priority 4; Drive growth and employment – by 2018.

“With more jobs and opportunities for our residents, the gap between Haringey’s income levels and the rest of London’s has closed, and we have reduced our carbon emissions to improve the environment.”

Priority 5; Housing transformation – by 2018

“Haringey has more homes and stronger communities where people want to live.”

On her attendance Jenny Holloway commented “I am extremely proud to be part of Haringey’s regeneration!  This is just what we are doing here at Fashion Enter.  Upskilling people to use industrial machines, cutting fabric, pressing… all the skills you need to either get a job immediately or start your own label.  There is a whole world out there so make sure you grab it!”
