Mademoiselle Privé at the Saatchi Gallery

18-08-2015

mademoiselle priveThis showcase will span three weeks, from 13th October – 1st November, and sprawl across three floors of the gallery, so I urge you all to keep at least one of the dates free in your diary!

The exhibition will centre around Chanel’s Haute Couture designs as well as its iconic fragrance ‘Chanel No. 5’; however perhaps that which may entice a large proportion of visitors will  be the displays of re-editions of the ‘Bijoux de Diamants’ collection of 1932, the only collection of fine jewellery ever designed by Coco Chanel herself. Karl Lagerfeld will also be unveiling pieces which are to be designed especially for this exhibition.

Claiming to be an ‘enchanted journey’, this exhibition aims to showcase and celebrate the historical influences and inspiration behind the legendary brand as well as the progressive direction Karl Lagerfeld is now taking it, being the current creative director.

This exhibition will be open seven days a week and the admission will be free, so it may be the best chance you’ll ever have at seeing Chanel pieces up close and personal, need I say more?!
