Day one at Profile
23-01-2025
The first day of Profile 4 stunned both the designers and the attendees alike. The venue is breathtaking, ideally situated between Monument, Tower Hill and London Bridge tube stations Old Billingsgate Market overlooks the Thames. With high ceilings, a blacked-out draped catwalk theatre, press office, VIP lounge and drinks area both the designers and attendees are well and truly catered for!
Profile 4 also has a resident DJ this season providing a fantastic ambience that makes the event relaxed but with a definate buzz that feels the air with both excitment and anticipation.
A good selection of buyers were there yesterday, some making their journey from Pure, to be more than pleasantly suprised by the new ladieswear, menswear and accessory talent. Many thanks to Claire O’Mallly from Skirt, Chris Derham form London Trading, Helga Lobban from Hobbsons, Jenny Lundberg from Genka, Belen Enchandia, Clusz and Vanilla to name just a few. Orders were placed yesterday and our superstar is Clare from Pinky Accessories who picked up FOUR ORDERS, Kiki also had orders so did Eleanor Franklin…and these are only the ones we know about!
The calibre of the catwalk theatre is truly astonishing. The standard is so high that there were audiable gasps from the crowds yesterday and at the first performance there was standing room only with the Gala this evening being well and truly sold out.
Pictures never lie…just look at the outstanding quality of the designer collections for yourself!

Many thanks to our retail sponsors who have been fantastic. There is a huge turnout from Hobbs for this evening’s gala at 8pm and a special mention of thanks to Nicholas Samuels, Chief Executive for his personal confirmed attendance. Debenhams are also coming in force and, as always, House of Fraser is bringing an army of both in-house designers and buyers from all departments.
Amanda Burrows from House of Fraser has “done us proud” yet again. From the very start Amanda could see the enormous potential of Profile 4 and their support from day one has made the whole concept of Profile 4 work!
Debenhams are now in their second year of sponsorship and a special mention of thanks to both Karin and Stephan for all their ideas, advice and support. David from Rare Kind (last seasons menswear winners) is delighted to be showcased in their Oxford Street store in September.
And that is truly what Profile is all about. Networking retailers with true British Designer talent and networking trade bodies such as Cutting Edge, RKHBfashion, JOFIT etc with the industry.
Finally a BIG THANK YOU to The Welsh Textiles Clothing Association for their invaluable support in this seasons Profile 4.
Here’s to Profile 5!
