The nominees for the second annual Scottish Fashion Awards have just been announced. Held in association with Hamilton & Inches, Managing Director, Jamie Fraser, commented: “In the last 18 months some very real and exciting Scottish successes have been recognised in the international fashion industry and Hamilton & Inches are thrilled to help promote and applaud that fact. As a luxury jeweller we champion all individuality, quality, style and Scottishness: I can not think of a better partnership. The international list of judges reflects the status of this outward looking event.â€

Each winner will receive a handcrafted art piece specially designed by internationally renowned Scottish sculptor Andy Scott, whose work has been exhibited in cities around the world.

Event Founder / producer Tessa Hartmann said: “The Scottish Fashion Awards represent an incredible opportunity for Scottish fashion talent to be seen by respected fashion authorities from around the world. The cashmere / textile industry in Scotlandalone employs over 22,000 people and fashion itself is the fourth largest employer in the UK. With so many Scots doing wonderful things on the international catwalks for their own labels and global brands, it was without time to celebrate and acknowledge that fact. As an event we are delighted that we have brought so much awareness to so many different types of fashion creators and innovators from Scotland – that’s what this is all about!â€
The awards Gala VIP event hosted by Jenni Falconer will take place at Stirling Castle on the 9th of September.
