This mission is supported by UK Trade and Investment and a travel grant of up to £910 per company will be available to eligible companies.
Deansgate manages the business travel requirements of corporate clients throughout the UK and also provides the travel and logistical services for, business groups which include exhibition and trade fair travel and UK Trade and Investment (previously Trade Partners UK) supported trade missions. Deansgate are also accredited by UK Trade and Investment as sponsors to run supported Trade Missions and Exhibitions.
The strong trading links between UK and the Gulf States and vibrant economic activity in the region continue to make these markets hugely lucrative for UK exporters. There are opportunities across many sectors that vary from market to market. Kuwait’s fortunes are benefiting from post Iraq war reconstruction, it being a convenient gateway for goods and services. The continued exploitation of Qatar’s extensive natural gas reserves has granted prosperity to this rapidly developing state. Revenue earned from gas sales will finance new investment in a wide range of infrastructure projects and generally boost economic activity throughout many areas. Bahrain has long been a traditional trading partner of the UK and is a regional base for many UK companies and financial institutions. A number of major projects are planned offering opportunities in a number of sectors. The UAE is a key Middle East market for UK exporters. Abu Dhabi’s massive oil and gas wealth, Dubai’s vibrant commercial activity and opportunities in the other Emirates make the UAE a must for any exporter interested in the region. The pro-British Sultanate of Oman has developed an efficient and modern infrastructure funded by sustained oil revenues. With the upturn in oil prices we can expect to see an upturn in economic activity.
The Deansgate Gulf States Mission will enable new exporters to explore a region full of opportunities and UK Companies already trading in the region to build on existing relationships and meet new contacts.
