3 Day Cutting Course Completed by Government Client

From 21st – 23rd September the Fashion-Enter team worked with an important Government client on a 3-day tailor made cutting course. The group of six individuals covered the following topics:
· Health and safety
· Understanding different fabric types
· Understanding the various cutting machines
· Evaluating the different checking methods on fabric
· Factory tour – assessing the entire process of production
· Identifying poor cutting
· Understanding a lay plan
· Live demonstration of cutting
· Implications of a lay plan
· Maintenance of cutting equipment
· Identifying time lines and efficiencies
· Assessment of cutting through observation and participation
Over the full 3-days the attendees gained knowledge and insight from Fashion-Enter CEO Jenny Holloway, Production Director Caroline Ash, Factory Manager Chris Toumba, Garment Technologist Elle Argyrou and Fashion Studio Assistant Georgia Fletcher. The course included lots of live demonstrations in line with the groups learning requirements.
