LaundRe – Denim Finishing Hub

The FEL team is thrilled to be working with Salli Deighton (pictured below) and her first-of-a-kind denim finishing hub ‘LaundRe’.

LaundRe HQ based in Canning Town, East London, will be home to sustainable finishing machinery that can take back stocks and refresh them with trending finishes and other experimental treatments. FEL will be supporting this UK repurposing initiative with its stitching services at Haringey HQ.

Jenny commented: “Thank-you Salli for supporting FEL, we are pleased to support LaundRe on all stitching skills required, it’s been great to meet you and we wish you great success for the future.”

Sustainable Totes for LEYF

Social enterprise, London Early Years Foundation (LEYF) has sustainability at the heart of its Early Years organisation and FEL is thrilled to continue to support them with ongoing, sustainable textile production.

FEL has been a LEYF sustainable partner for nine years – from making staff pinafores to face masks and children/staff aprons. FEL has utilised deadstock fabrics and now, Kornit Digital printing technology ensures LEYF products have minimal impact on the environment.

FEL has just produced 1,000 LEYF tote bags using deadstock fabric which reduces excess fabric from going to landfill and FEL’s brilliant, eco-friendly Kornit Digital printer.

“We are delighted to continue to work with LEYF and use our end-of-life fabrics in such a productive way.” Commented Jenny Holloway.
