A Boutique full of Fashion Goodies

The boutique is like no other in Croydon and leaves you with a sense of inspiration when you visit. While partaking on a work placement with Fashion Enter I took up the challenge (challenge being the operative word) of managing three girls who had just left school also on work experience. My task was to re visual merchandise the shop floor as well as created a new theme in the boutique window.

Looking at the window and the merchandise displayed it looked like Fashion Enter had had enough of the summer madness and was ready to start embracing autumn as the colours of the stock which greeted you as the entered the shop and in the window were a lot of greys and browns. So when Jane the assistant from the Allders boutique told me she had just taken a call from the Barking boutique saying that they had just redone their window with in Beach theme in mind I thought what a great idea, lets bring some sun shine into Croydon on this wet muggy day! 

I started off by delegating my three little helpers assigning one of them to help me in the window while the other two were going to change the position of some of the stock bring the brighter colours to the front of the boutique and re organise the sales rack.

        

As the day went on the job at hand did not seem so hard because our props started to come together. We dressed the mannequins in summer dresses, a swim suit, and a bikini using big umbrellas, an outdoor director’s chair, and blue fabric for the sea effect. I loss count the amount of times we went outside to review what we had done which also gave us an opportunity to hear direct feedback from Croydon’s shoppers; I over heard one lady say to a friend “That shop has to better things in there now!”
