Since news of the award went live the comments have been flooding in:
“Jenny is a true pioneer in fashion and this recognition is so well deserved. Jenny’s ability to spot an opportunity and then make it a reality is inspiring. As is her drive to make technical fashion skills and new technologies available to all. Well done Jenny.” – Jackie Bertram
“Well done Jennifer Holloway you deserve this recognition.” – David Reay
“This is brilliant news! Jenny has worked so hard and has long understood that industry business models need to change and open their eyes to the bigger picture. Jenny has successfully adapted Fashion-Enter Ltd / FashionCapital to incorporate micro factory, education, repurposing and repairs as well as AI technology. It has not been easy making these changes / partnerships and investments after the pandemic and in the current economic climate with many of the bigger brands reluctant to change their ways. However, integrity has always been fundamental with Jenny and the team so a big, well deserved congratulations! We need to champion Made in the UK, ethically and sustainably!” – JoJo Iles
From the Drapers article:
“She lives her values. When you walk into any organisation, you get a sense of how people are – whether they’re engaged and happy or whether they’re miserable. There is a real energy about [the Fashion-Enter factory].” – Baroness Young of Hornsey, campaigner for fashion ethics and sustainability in the House of Lords, and Drapers’ Sustainable Fashion Champion 2023
“She’s convincing and caring – and she also has the business plan. I’d probably follow her off a cliff.” – Simon Platts, co-founder and CEO of circularity platform Recomme
Jenny commented: “As I said on stage I am nothing without the team we have. Particular acknowledgment to the Directors sitting on table 14 last night; many have been on the Fashion-Enter / FashionCapital journey for over ten years!
“We have had our ups and downs in business but we have shown what pivoting really means!
“To the rest of the team in Haringey, Islington, Leicester and Powys – you are awesome! No person is an island and I accepted the award on behalf of us all.
“Thank-you to all that voted too.”
