Fashion Retail Academy Visit Fashion Enter

07-11-2016

With the ability to see just how garments are manufactured for high street retailers and etailers including M&S and ASOS.com, The Fashion Retail Academy Level 4 students were keen to start their morning here at Fashion Enter.

CEO Jenny Holloway and Production Manager Caroline provided the group with a wealth of invaluable knowledge; from the compliance criteria to design and working with retailers to machinery, garment inspection and the live working environment, the students had no questions left unanswered by the end of their visit.

“This morning has taught me how the factory actually works, from design, working with various retailers, tips on being a garment technologist and the different machines and tools used.” – Crystal

“The factory visit has convinced me even more that sourcing from the UK is good and that fast fashion isn’t always cheap!” – Bibiane

“Jenny is really knowledgeable in her field from her buying background which really comes across as she knows what to expect of a factory and doesn’t compromise her beliefs – therefore today I have learnt the importance of compliance and organisation.” – Ella

“I have learnt how strung-out the compliance on a factory has to be and how it impacts the retailer and factory.” – Maegan

“I have learnt first-hand how a factory operates and a vast amount of information regarding compliance.  Fashion Enter seems like a brilliant factory and a pleasant place to work.” – Georgia

“This morning has taught me more about the working environment and health and safety in the workplace.  I’ve also learnt the advantage of using UK factories, especially for fast fashion.” – Alessia
