Prince’s Trust visit Fashion Enter

31-03-2016
The Prince’s Trust programme aims to inspire and educate young people in a subject of their choice, whilst giving them the skills and confidence needed to succeed. As part of the ‘Get Started in Fashion’ programme the learners were able to gain a unique insight into the manufacturing side of the fashion industry and with many not seeing inside a factory before their eyes were opened to the opportunities available. Many left inspired to progress onto an apprenticeship following the course!

One student commented:
‘I have learnt in this seminar exactly all the work it takes to produce a garment from start to finish including timing (with the barcode system) and pricing. I thought the trip was really beneficial and enjoyed looking around. Was interested to hear about the opportunities offered here. I will definitely be looking into taking an apprenticeship now I know what is available to me!’ Sophia
Following the tour Fashion Enter was invited to take part in the Prince’s Trust Opportunity Day on 24th March. The one day event brought together young people who have recently completed their Prince’s Trust programmes with real provider opportunities. As England’s leading training provider for the Fashion and Textiles apprenticeships we were able to interview a group of candidates all interested in persuing a career in fashion. Some had even been on the factory tour that week and spoke passionately about securing their dream job in fashion! We are now reviewing suitable candidates for the current apprenticeship vacancies on offer for both the Level 3 and Level 4 programme.
