Job Description: 
As a regional managers, you are in charge of multiple stores throughout a large physical area. Depending on how the company operates, a regional manager may be in charge of stores in one county or across multiple county’s. Regional managers determine the operational practices of all stores in the area, making sure each runs smoothly, cleanly, complies with marketing and sales campaigns and meets budget and sales goals.
 
Responsibilities:
ӢManaging and motivating a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency
ӢManaging stock levels and making key decisions about stock control
ӢAnalysing sales figures and forecasting future sales
ӢAnalysing and interpreting trends to facilitate planning
ӢUsing information technology to record sales figures, for data analysis and forward planning
ӢDealing with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews
ӢProviding or organising training and development
ӢEnsuring standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
ӢResolving health and safety, legal and security issues
ӢResponding to customer complaints and comments
ӢOrganising special promotions, displays and events
ӢAttending and chairing meetings
ӢTouring the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers and identifying or resolving urgent issues
ӢMaintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing
 
Skills:
ӢLeadership Skills: Regional managers have to keep their employees motivated, resolve conflicts and make hard decisions. A successful regional manager is a good leader.
