GCSE students – we are here to support!

Are you receiving your GCSE results this week?
Amidst the ever changing landscape around A-level results the government has now made a U-turn and it has been decided GCSE pupils will be given either their Ofqual-moderated grades or their original teacher-predicted grades, depending on which is higher.
No matter what the outcome we can support with level 2, 3 and 4 apprenticeships, and short technical courses in stitching, pattern cutting and tailoring, all with progression to employment.
Attention Ex-Pattern Cutting Students and Graduates!
We are delighted to announce we are able to offer a FREE Telestia Tutor Training Course in Pattern Making online!
If you are a former student of the FTA on the Level 1 and 2 Pattern making course using the Telestia and AB Tools method, this is a fantastic opportunity for you!

N17 Creative Callings really works!
Layla Sargent from The Seam recently joined the N17 project, Jenny Holloway commented:
“I met Layla about a year ago and I really wanted her to join the N17 CC program then but she was outside the area. I just kept in touch with Layla – some people you just get and I thought Layla was a genuine entrepreneur with a kind heart that wanted to help others. Recently she moved into N17 and I was absolutely delighted! Already we have results – we have saved on webhosting costs immediately, we are working with 25 of Layla’s workers, we are finding new revenue streams for Layla immediately. Layla the sky is the limit!”
The Seam is the UK’s largest network for makers and fashion professionals. It’s the leading destination to find a seamstress, tailor, stylist and more. Founded in London last year, entrepreneur Layla Sargent was inspired by her grandmother’s sewing skills. The Seam is currently active across London and soon due to expand across the UK.
Do you live in the N17 or N4 area of London? If so and you are aspiring designer or have set up your own creative business we can support you for free! Email jenni@fashion-enter.com to find out if you are eligible.

World Humanitarian Day – a global celebration of people helping people
This year’s World Humanitarian Day honours the front-line health workers – the Real-Life Heroes – including doctors and nurses, midwives and community volunteers, and those who risk their lives to ensure that everyone has access to health services, testing and treatment, protective equipment, and medication especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and all other emergencies.
Here at Fashion-Enter we are immensely proud of our machinists, cutters, pressers and all factory staff who continued to work throughout lock down in order to produce PPE. We ensured extensive safety procedures were put in place to keep everyone as protected and safe as possible whilst at work.
