Skilled Machinists Matter…

03-07-2019

Newsletter 3rd July 2019

Dear all,

Fighting To Retain Our Skilled Machinists

Next Monday we’ll be at 1 Parliament St, Westminster, to discuss the future of our industry’s machinists. As many manufacturers’ based here know businesses require trained machinists with a minimum level of five to ten years experience to work in a thriving apparel factory. We are working with The All Party Parliamentary Group for Textiles and Fashion and the EEF to advocate for a more inclusive Visa system for British manufacturing machinists and this couldn’t come sooner with a no-deal on the horizon we need to ensure the security of our skilled workforce.

If you are a British manufacturer, designer or work directly with British production please email: rafaella.defreitas@fashionroundtable.co.uk if you would like to attend. Please note there are only a few seats left.

Manufacturers’ if you are based further afield or can’t come along please fill in this short survey it just takes a few minutes – please support and have your say: https://lnkd.in/gwTDuUz
