Inside The Fashion Fix this week we discover a fabulous footwear exhibition to be unveiled soon, the announcement of another country banning fur farming, plus news on an exciting beauty collaboration.

Christian Louboutin Exhibition

Hundreds of red soles will be put on display inside an upcoming major Christian Louboutin exhibition in Paris next year. Coming in February to the Palais de la Porte Dorée, the footwear reflective will cabinet a surplus of items from the designer.

The much-anticipated exhibition will additionally pioneer some of the greatest artists and artisans who have served as a continuous source of creative inspiration to the iconic footwear designer, including Imran Qurehi and designer duo Whitaker Malem.

The exhibition will run from February 25 to July 28, 2020, at the Palais de la Porte Dorée, Paris.

Ireland will be 15th EU Country to Ban Fur Farming

Announced in the last few days, the Irish government aims to ‘phase out’ fur farming, making the ban the 15th European country to join the ethical fashion movement.

The Irish cabinet is establishing an illegal crime for any new fur farms to operate, whilst ‘phase out’ proposals will be secured to permit time for current operators to terminate the sector and for employees to locate other prospects.

Karl Lagerfeld and L’Oréal Beauty Line

Instigated by the late designer, Karl Lagerfeld and L’Oréal Paris have declared a beauty partnership, which will launch throughout Paris Fashion Week in September.

In a press release, Caroline Lebar, Head of Image and Communication at Maison Karl Lagerfeld stated: “This line of make-up truly reflects the Karl Lagerfeld brand universe and what Karl loved in make-up – he often used eyeshadows as colours in his sketches.”
