Record Breaking Opening Day at Source Fashion

Source Fashion, Europe’s premier responsible sourcing show, kicked off at Olympia London yesterday, Tuesday, 8th July and reported a record-breaking opening day. The trade event drew in sourcing professionals and buyers from industry giants like John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, and All Saints, all exploring sustainable innovations from 250 manufacturers across 22 regions.
UK-based producers including Fashion-Enter Ltd and Source Fashion partner –ATMF, accompanied by 7 Leicester-based manufacturers, also have stands at the event, showcasing the role of local, ethical manufacturing in reshaping fashion’s future. Through standout features like the Source Catwalk and the Source Debates stage, the event highlights actionable solutions—like resale, reuse, and post-growth business models—that align closely with the goals of Net Zero Week.

This timely overlap underscores the urgent need for cross-sector collaboration and scalable transformation—core themes of Net Zero Week, which runs from 5–11 July. As businesses across fashion and beyond respond to consumer demands for greater transparency, sessions such as When Will Consumers Really Pay More? and Fewer Products, Bigger Impact? reveal the systemic shifts required to drive ethical growth and cut emissions.
Suzanne Ellingham, Event Director of Source Fashion said: “The energy on the show floor today has been incredible. We’ve welcomed record numbers of engaged purposeful visitors, from independent retailers to global brands, all here to explore new, responsible ways of doing business with new partners. What’s really exciting is that this isn’t just a sourcing show, it’s become a space for honest conversations, innovation, and real collaboration. The response to our content programme, on the Source Catwalk and Source Debates stage, shows just how hungry the industry is for transparency and change, and to have honest conversations about how we drive that change together. Seeing our community here with such intent on day one sets the tone for a powerful few days ahead.”

Source Fashion trade event runs until 4pm Thursday 10th July tap here to register your attendance and come and meet members from the FEL team on stand F53 and ATMF on stand F61.
APPG Launches a New Website

The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Ethics and Sustainability in Fashion has launched a new website, offering a central hub for updates, reports, and upcoming initiatives. Reformed in 2020 and officially reconvened in March 2025 under Chair Rosie Wrighting MP, the APPG continues to champion meaningful dialogue on fashion’s ethical and environmental impact. With Fashion-Enter Ltd / FashionCapital on the board and Fashion Roundtable as Secretariat, the site reflects the group’s renewed focus on collaboration between policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators working to shape a more sustainable and ethical fashion future.
