FC FTA Leicester Opens its Doors

The Fashion-Enter Ltd team are thrilled that the FC Fashion Technology Academy (FTA) Leicester, in collaboration with Leicester City Council and local clothing company Ethically Sourced Products Ltd, has opened its doors for a Residents Open Day today (27th October). Attendees were invited to take a tour of the space, learn about the apprenticeships and training that we can offer as well as ‘have a go’ on the machines. Skills Shortage – The Sunday Times Comment

Ever since Fashion-Enter Ltd opened the Stitching Academy in collaboration with ASOS back in 2013 it has been clear, both in-house and within the UK fashion manufacturing sector, that skilled machinists and garment workers are in short supply. In The Sunday Times last weekend Fashion-Enter Ltd’s CEO commented on behalf of the many industry sectors struggling to find skilled employees and how the government desperately needs to engage and back training for young people to pursue vocational careers. Fashion-Enter CEO Joins Invennt Luxe Ascot Event

Last Saturday, Fashion-Enter CEO Jenny Holloway attended a race meeting for fashion and luxury goods executives at Ascot Racecourse. The event was hosted by specialist tax consultants Invennt Luxe and was an enjoyable way to celebrate Fashion-Enter’s recently successful R&D tax credit claim in the pageantry and spectacle of the world’s preeminent racecourse. The event’s organisers, Invennt Luxe, help fashion and luxury goods brands claim R&D tax credits for investment in innovative product development and work undertaken to overcome technical challenges arising during production, distribution, retail and supporting business activities.
Fashion-Enter recently commissioned Invennt Luxe to identify qualifying costs and compile a claim for the last two accounting periods. The business received a percentage of turnover from HMRC, supporting further investment in-studio resources and manufacturing capacity for ethical garment manufacturing. The scheme is open to all designers, manufacturers and retailers registered as limited companies in the UK. Commenting on the claims process undertaken by Invennt Luxe, Jenny Holloway remarked, “Maggie made the process effortlessly simple and illuminated innovation we didn’t know existed. The exercise has energised our team and made us rethink the way we view our business.”
If you would like to find out more about the R&D tax credit programme and find out whether you are eligible to claim, visit www.invenntluxe.com or contact Aidan Baun; aidan@invenntluxe.com, +44 7940 442936.
