The Spirit of Christmas
It’s that time of year again where Christmas is very much all around us! At Fashion-Enter Ltd the season is all about the promotion of local independent businesses and somehow supporting charities that are tackling difficult issues at home and overseas.
Small Business Saturday
Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities.
Taking place this Saturday 2nd December the FEL team have been busy promoting several small businesses that we work with, from production in the Fashion Studio to affordable studios at the FC Designer Workspace. Visit our social media pages to see the various small businesses we have featured this week; ranging from Good Wash Day organic, cotton towels for hair to Heron’s Ghyll tailoring. There really is a niche, small brand for every requirement.
Local to Islington? Then why not visit the FC Designer Collective, 113-115 Fonthill Road, London N4. Here we stock local, independent designers that create clothing, accessories, jewellery, hand embroidered pieces and more, at affordable prices.

Christmas Crisis Pop-Up
This year, once again, FEL’s Development Coordinator Gee Fletcher will be volunteering at the Crisis Pop-Up shop on Savile Row. Opening from December 4th – 14th, the pop-up will house a treasure trove of unique clothing items, gifts and accessories, raising vital funds for Crisis, the national charity for people experiencing homelessness across Great Britain.

Join Our ‘Amazing’ Saturday Pattern Class
Running alongside our popular Saturday Stitching Club at the FC Designer Workspace, we also offer a small group pattern making class with our friendly and supportive tutor Angel. Feedback from learners at last Saturday’s class included:

Each session focuses on a different element of pattern cutting however we are flexible and can adapt to each learners requirements and experience level. On Saturday 2nd December there is the opportunity to learn how to create made-to-measure trousers.
This class takes place every Saturday at the FC Designer Workspace, 9 Durham Road, London N7 from 10am – 4pm and is just £25 for the day.

3 Day Course X 3 Month Free Licence
The Fashion Technology Academy can exclusively offer 3-months of free Style3D Studio software access for learners signed up to the 3-day course throughout December.
This innovative and exciting software can quickly transform your creative ideas into 3D designs effectively modelled on customised avatars. With over 50,000 digital assets on the cloud ranges can be created in hours and the technology is excellent.
This 3-day course costs £299 and takes place in small groups from Tuesday to Thursday throughout December at FTA, Unit 4, Crusader Estate, Haringey, London, N4 1LZ.

United Repair Centre at Vogue Business Fashion Futures
Yesterday, 28th November, the United Repair Centre took part in the Vogue Business Fashion Futures event, in partnership with GXO, at the Design Museum in London. The event brought together brand executives, startup founders, regulators, manufacturers and industry leaders to align ideas and spark discussion around what fashion needs to move forward.
Thami Schweichler, CEO and Founder of the United Repair Centre, was at the event to discuss the repair and reuse business model at his Amsterdam and London locations, and to highlight possible solutions for the fashion industry.
TikTok Fashion Competition Deadline
Just a reminder for those wanting to enter the TikTok fashion competition the deadline is tomorrow 30th November 2023.
Prizes include: + Production of 5 x garments (including the design featured in your entry video) designed by you. + Showcase event in February 2024 in London celebrating your designs + $5k towards photography and videography of your collection for your portfolio (managed by TikTok) +1 x editorial feature on SheerLuxe website and 6-month talent management contract with Blush Talent Management, SheerLuxe’s brand new fashion talent agency.
