The All New Fashion Studio
The Fashion Studio situated in the Factory is the first port of call for brand start-ups or short run designers. It’s the place where first patterns, toiling, seals, grades, sampling and short run production from a one-off piece to 300 units takes place. Our experienced and skilled production team can stitch any product including tailoring, haute couture, wedding dresses, promotional garments, lingerie, swimwear and theatre costume garments, and the department now has a new management team headed up by Production Director, Caroline Ash, Pattern Cutting Manager, Claire Solley and Studio Assistant, Georgia Fletcher.

Fashion-Enter Back on the BBC
The Fashion-Enter factory has once again appeared on the BBC News this time in a feature addressing environmental sustainability. ‘Will fashion be better for the planet after coronavirus?’ asks BBC Political Correspondent Helen Catt. Bringing the supply chain closer to home was discussed and the BBC film crew visited the Factory and talked to Production Director Caroline Ash about making in smaller quantities and reducing waste.

London Fashion Week Livestream
London Fashion Week is one of the very few international events to still be going ahead, and has been split into three sections to include brands showing digitally, physically or both. What was once deemed as an ‘invite only’ event is about to be democratised on the world-wide-web for all to see. The LFW digital platform will be freely accessible to everyone, industry professionals and global fashion consumers alike. The platform will host exclusive multimedia content from designers and brand partners, enabling collaboration and bringing together fashion, culture and technology. The event kicks off on Thursday 17th September with Burberry’s SS21 collection.

Make it British Live! Online
Make it British Live! has gone virtual to connect buyers and designers with UK manufacturers of fashion, textiles and homeware. The trade show was due to take place on 17th & 18th March at London’s Business Design Centre, but like all trade shows and events this year it had to be postponed. However, Kate Hills, founder of Make it British, has seen a rise in enquiries from UK businesses wanting to manufacture closer to home. She could see that to provide support and networking now is incredibly important and so she has come up with Make it British Live! Online. Just like the physical trade event, the virtual event will retain all of the shows features and Fashion-Enter will be a part of it.

And Finally…
We couldn’t agree more with Peter Marsh, founder of www.madeherenow.com on his recent comment regarding PPE production in the UK – supporting UK manufacturing, securing jobs and keeping that carbon footprint down. At Fashion-Enter we continue to make PPE, with thanks to Private White VC for their support.
