Tomorrow (Thursday 21st October) is a big day at Fashion-Enter HQ in north London as we host two onsite seminars. Ranging from career’s in fashion to insight from leading experts at ASOS and Kornit Digital. Whether you are still at school, setting up your own business or an established industry professional we have something for everyone:

09.00 – 11.00 – N17 Creative Callings: Creative Careers Event (For local school pupils)

12:30 – 15:30 – ASOS & Kornit Digital Discuss Brand Success & Sustainability (Tap here if you would like to know more and attend this event.)

New Design Studio Assistant Apprenticeship

Just in is a fantastic opportunity for a Design Studio Assistant Apprentice with the long-established designer Margaret Howell. The team are looking for a highly motivated individual to be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the Design Studio and samples, and to provide studio support for the Design studio as a whole; including designers and the development & production team, contributing to the successful execution of the critical path.

FC FTA Leicester

We are thrilled that the new, fully-equipped Fashion Technology Academy in Leicester is almost ready! Over the coming months we will be hosting some key dates before the official opening in the New Year. First up next week on the 27th October is the Residents Open Day, where attendees can have a tour of the space, learn about the apprenticeships and training that we can offer as well as have a go on the machines. The team are looking forward to meeting and providing these training opportunities within one of the UK’s biggest manufacturing regions.

Next Week: Free Repair & Upcycle Workshop

Next Friday 29th October we will be joining the ‘Islington Together: Let’s talk about a greener future’ festival (18 – 29 October 2021) with the offer of a free repair and upcycle workshop. This interactive session will take place from 10am, attendees will be invited to tour the workspace and hear about all the facilities on offer as well as take part in the practical workshop that will teach alteration and upcycling techniques on clothing items from home. If you are a London Borough of Islington resident and would like to join this free workshop tap here to book your place.

Get Motivated With Eric Gilston

Life coach and motivational speaker Eric Gilston is back on 4th November for one of his motivating workshops on how to be more positive. If you would like to learn how to gain a positive mindset and have a motivated approach towards your life then this session is for you! Taking place at the FC Designer Workspace Thursday 4th November 11am – 1pm, this workshop is free, however spaces are limited so early booking is recommended.

Meanwhile at Fashion-Enter Wales

Over in Newtown, Wales the Fashion-Enter team are currently working on a large ASOS order of Moomin t-shirts in 3 colour ways. The team are also celebrating presser Barbara Jones’s birthday along with saying a fond farewell and good luck to Jack Lewis.
