Flying the Flag for UK Made at No. 10
It’s not everyday you get invited to the Prime Minister’s residence, however today is the day! This morning at 10am Fashion-Enter Ltd Founder and CEO Jenny Holloway and Director Beth Davy-Day joined fellow manufacturers for a unique, matchmaking event at 10 Downing Street.
Jenny said: “What a superb initiative ‘Manufacturing Matchmaking for the UK Fashion Industry’ was today at 10 Downing Street.
“A fantastic opportunity to showcase high quality British manufacturing to the best of British brands and designers. It was great to reconnect with old acquaintances too – we need Kate Hill’s Make It British annual event back! Plus we need to showcase overseas too! Fly that flag.
“Thank-you to 10 Downing Street and the Board of Trade for organising today, and also to Malcolm Offord, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State in the Department of Business and Trade, along with all the brands that came to greet us! How inspiring this was.”
Informal Roundtable at the House of Commons
It seems policy and politics are today’s theme as Jenny is also attending the House of Commons this afternoon. She will be joining Emma Watkinson – Silkfred, Nick Beighton – Matches, John Lyttle – Boohoo and Simon Platts – Recomme for an informal roundtable discussion with Labour MP Catherine West.

Empowering Youth Through Fashion
Arsenal and Adidas recently collaborated to provide 30 young individuals from various No More Red charity partners to take part in a transformative four-part fashion workshop series. The group learned about the garment life cycle, heard from industry professionals, and had the opportunity to design and make a t-shirt, this part was facilitated by the FEL team. One winning t-shirt, by Nellie Rose, was selected to reflect Arsenal and community, and is now on sale at The Armoury and Arsenal Direct.
