Welcome Back Fund Support for Islington’s Retailers & Designers

12-11-2021
Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) is delighted to confirm that we have won a small pot of funding to support the Welcome Back Fund in collaboration with Islington Council.

FEL won the Good Growth Fund for Affordable Workspace program in 2019; a £10m program that has a lifetime of ten years. This has allowed a localised circular fashion model to emerge which certainly has advantages of lower carbon emissions and creates wealth and prosperity for the local designers, which in turn has the economic multiplier effect of generating more income for the supply base and other companies.

Current designers based at the FC Designer Workspace include ‘Mi-bambino London’ who has just successfully launched online and has received amazing press with CWB, the UK’s leading trade magazine dedicated exclusively to childrenswear.

In addition ‘Another Earthing’ is now supplying the etailer Silk Fred directly with creative headpieces and fascinators as a direct result of the being at the Workspace. Silk Fred personnel attended the launch of the affordable workspace on Durham Road and were impressed by Mary’s (Another Earthing founder) attention to detail.
FEL is now on a major sales drive for the designers and traders of Islington and this starts with a free Christmas Market on 4th December based on Fonthill Road. To help with this festive event FEL is looking for support with the market. Please find the details here.
Additionally FEL has proposed to create a B-C etailing website for the designers and traders of Fonthill Road too and for more information regarding this contract please click here.
Islington is a vibrant, thriving borough that is rich in design and authenticity. Together everyone is stronger and these unique collaborative programs mark the start of a local business boost along with on-going support and development.
