21-09-2025
Source Fashion, Europe’s largest manufacturing sourcing show, has just unveiled an exciting new initiative to spotlight and support British manufacturers, with a focus on heritage industries. Set to launch in February 2026, this groundbreaking scheme will feature a dedicated British Heritage Pavilion, showcasing 15 exceptional UK-based manufacturers. This initiative is part of Source Fashion’s ongoing mission to elevate British craftsmanship, promote sustainability, and foster global connections within the fashion supply chain.
With an investment of £500,000 over the next three years, Source Fashion is offering a comprehensive support package to these selected manufacturers, which includes fully funded exhibition stands, tailored marketing campaigns, and extensive brand development assistance. This initiative will run over three consecutive editions of Source Fashion—February 2026, July 2026, and January 2027—empowering UK businesses to build long-term growth and visibility on the international stage.

“We are proud to introduce this scheme, which is a true reflection of Source Fashion’s commitment to British manufacturing,” said Suzanne Ellingham, Event Director of Source Fashion. “As the show grows, we recognise the importance of supporting UK manufacturers, especially those in heritage industries, many of whom face significant challenges in funding exhibition costs. This initiative goes beyond offering free stands; it’s about nurturing the future of British manufacturing, helping businesses tell their stories, connect with global buyers, and grow sustainably.”
The British Heritage Pavilion will represent a diverse range of manufacturers, from textile experts in Scotland to component specialists in the Midlands and South of England. With support from Source Fashion’s advisory board, the selected businesses will receive curated PR, global exposure, and access to international buyers and retailers.
“We’re creating a platform that not only supports these businesses but gives them the tools they need to thrive,” Ellingham continued. “By offering dedicated support for three consecutive shows, we can ensure that these manufacturers build strong, lasting relationships with international buyers, positioning them for long-term success.”
The first cohort of manufacturers will be announced in September 2025, with standout UK businesses already being selected, including Courtney and Co, the last remaining button manufacturer in the UK, and Alexander Manufacturing. These businesses exemplify the exceptional craftsmanship and legacy of British manufacturing, setting the tone for what is sure to be an inspiring showcase of UK talent.
Simon Platts, Founder of SP&KO Consultancy, commented, “This is a fantastic opportunity for UK heritage manufacturers, many of whom face financial barriers to showcasing their products abroad. By providing them with a dedicated space at Source Fashion, these businesses can present their high-quality offerings to a global audience, building valuable connections that can propel them to new heights.”

In addition to the British Heritage Pavilion, Source Fashion continues to strengthen its commitment to ethical production and local supply chains. A key partner in this effort is the ATMF (Apparel and Textile Manufacturers Federation), which represents UK garment and textile manufacturers, particularly those in Leicester—a city with a rich manufacturing history. Through this partnership, ATMF curated a special showcase of UK factories the recent Source Fashion event held 8th – 10th July 2025, further elevating the presence of ethical, local manufacturing.

Suzanne Ellingham added, “We’re looking forward to introducing the European buying community to ATMF and other UK manufacturers. Quality and reliability are becoming increasingly important, and British manufacturers excel in both. Together, we’re building a platform that supports ethical, sustainable fashion from the ground up.”

This new direction promises to be a game-changer for British heritage brands and a vital step in promoting the enduring strength of the UK manufacturing sector on a global stage.
