House of Dreamers London: One of the Most Joyful Immersive Escapes of the Summer

03-07-2026

There are immersive experiences, and then there are worlds you never want to leave. House of Dreamers, has just opened at Immerse LDN on London’s ExCeL Waterfront, isn’t simply an exhibition – it’s an invitation to step inside a pastel-painted daydream where colour becomes a language, imagination takes centre stage and adulthood quietly melts away.

Having already enchanted more than two million visitors across Rome, Milan, Madrid and Paris, the dreamlike experience, created by designers Elena and Giulia Sella, has finally arrived in London, bringing with it 16 extraordinary installations that celebrate creativity, optimism and the simple joy of believing in possibilities.

For design geeks, it’s impossible not to fall instantly for the aesthetic. Every room is drenched in candy-coloured pastels, playful textures and whimsical details that feel as though they’ve been lifted from the pages of a fantasy editorial. Think sugar-coated pinks, cloud-soft blues, shimmering lilacs and joyful rooms brimming with vibrance inviting escapism at its most beautiful.

In a world that often feels relentlessly fast-paced, House of Dreamers offers something surprisingly refreshing: permission to play again. The experience effortlessly encourages you to reconnect with your inner child. Every installation invites participation rather than passive observation, making it impossible not to engage with your surroundings. There’s an inspiring atmosphere throughout, where every activity feels positive and uplifting, regardless of what your own dreams or aspirations may be.

Each installation carries its own uplifting message, encouraging visitors to reconnect with dreams they may have forgotten somewhere between childhood and adulthood. One moment you’re soaring gently through the clouds on a swing, the next you’re diving into a giant ball pit, wandering through an enchanted fairytale forest or turning the world upside down in one of the exhibition’s most delightfully surreal rooms.

But this isn’t simply about taking beautiful photographs – although Instagram lovers will undoubtedly be in heaven. The experience cleverly combines immersive art with AI-powered technology to make every visit uniquely personal. Visitors wear a DreamBand throughout the journey, allowing the exhibition to respond to their interactions in real time. The more you engage, the more your story unfolds.

During the experience you are invited to record a message to your future self, speaking aloud your hopes, ambitions and dreams. The recording will be sent back to you a year later, becoming a reminder not only of the experience itself but of the aspirations you carried with you that day. Collectively, the Wall of Dreams, invites visitors’ to write their hopes and ambitions on colourful Post-it notes. Reading through other people’s dreams is a heartwarming part of the experience, creating a shared sense of optimism that connects complete strangers.

Elsewhere, you can bring your own dream guide to life in an interactive colouring room, create digital artwork using nothing but your hands, explore your dream career and step into a playful boxing-inspired installation. What makes House of Dreamers particularly special is that every room balances visual spectacle with genuine emotional warmth. Beneath the dazzling colours and playful installations lies a simple but powerful message: believe in yourself, embrace curiosity and never stop dreaming.

Perhaps that’s why the experience has the potential to appeal to everyone. Families rediscover play together, couples find themselves laughing like children again, friends capture unforgettable memories and solo visitors leave feeling unexpectedly inspired. It’s rare to find an attraction that feels equally suited to a date night, a family day out or a creative afternoon with friends.

Fashion has always been about more than clothes. At its best, it celebrates self-expression, optimism and the confidence to imagine a different version of ourselves. House of Dreamers captures exactly that same spirit. It’s wearable joy translated into immersive design – where every room feels like stepping inside the mood board of a designer unafraid of colour, fantasy and emotion. (I’m sure Dame Zandra Rhodes would agree!)

As London continues to embrace immersive experiences, House of Dreamers stands apart by offering something increasingly valuable: unapologetic positivity. Rather than overwhelming visitors with spectacle alone, it encourages them to slow down, reconnect with their imagination and remember that dreaming isn’t something we outgrow. And for ninety magical minutes inside House of Dreamers, optimism is painted in every pastel shade imaginable.

House of Dreamers is on at ExCeL London until 30th September 2026.
