FashionCapital Kit Out The Flutes

The Flutes started out as a social mums’ hockey “team” with just seven “players” of a certain age, 15 kids between us and regular fixtures in north London restaurants in 2010. Toasting our new team with glasses of Prosecco,’The Flutes’ were born.

In 2011 we played our first hockey fixture against Southgate’s Tankards and barely two years later had recruited enough players of a suitable age with and without children to enter the England Hockey Over 35s Cup.

Over the years our numbers have continued to grow and we have also welcomed our friends from Hendon & Mill Hill HC and Aces HC to join our ranks.

Last year saw us enjoy our first international tour to the Bordeaux Veterans Tournament, and in 2018 we have enjoyed our most successful cup run to date making it as far as the semi-finals of the England Hockey Over 45s competition. To celebrate and cap the season off, we are looking forward to our summer tour to the Paella Cup in Valencia supported by generous kit sponsorship from north London’s pioneering Fashion Technology Academy, factory and industry support website – FashionCapital. Here is the team donning their cerise polo tops complete with the FashionCapital hanger logo. Elle Argyrou – Fashion Enter employee, is in the front row, second from the left.
