“Thank-you for your contribution during the world café session, and for the invitation to visit Fashion-Enter, which I know delegates greatly appreciated. From the feedback we have already received, delegates had a positive experience and benefited from all the discussions.

“It has been a pleasure welcoming you in Parliament and working with you throughout those months. We look forward to more fruitful collaboration in the future.”

FEL CEO, Jenny Holloway added: “Thank-you so much to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association UK for arranging this visit of MPs from across the Commonwealth; particular thanks to Adeline Dumoulin and Jake Moran.

“Prior to the visit we met yesterday at Portcullis House in Westminster and engaged in a Roundtable chaired by Martin Buttle PhD, Better Work Lead, CCLA, who discussed the global statistics of human world trafficking and the size of the apparel industry with 430 million garment sector employees; with the world wide value of the sector being US$ 2trillion. Bangladesh is currently the second largest exporter in the world with their economy growing on average 6.4% a year between 2010 – 2023.

“This was followed by today’s (24/10/24) visit, where we welcomed the MP’s to our Haringey site to showcase ethical, lean production, Style3D and AI in Fashion, plus our educational centre for skills in stitching and pattern making. It was a delight to welcome so many people that are clearly actively involved and want to do the very best for their factories and employees across the sector.

“Thank-you to everyone that has contributed to making the visit today such a success. We look forward to future engagement and knowledge transfer with Commonwealth in the very near future.”
