It’s Official – Approved for the ABC Awards Quality Licence Scheme
“We are over the moon! Being recognised for the CPPD we perform for M&S, New Look and Arcadia by ABC Awards is a real honour – it’s a testament to the hardworking talented team of tutors here at the Fashion Technology Academy. The process was very rigorous and robust but also ABC Awards was incredibly helpful and supportive. Recently we have had other retailers requesting CPPD regarding Open Costings, the Factory Uncovered, Fits and Perfect Fits and many other niche-training areas. Now we can offer certificates for the attendees too! Big thank you to the team and to ABC Awards.” – Jenny Holloway

Cathy says: “Our latest sale was held in our home for the first time on Sunday – we decided to have an ‘End of Season Clearance Sale!’ which we are pleased to report was a success!
“The floral spaghetti strap dresses were much admired and some lovely one-off Belles of London stock sold. Customers were able to try on clothes in our bedrooms and have a cup of tea at the same time! The plunge mini dresses are always a hit with our teenager shoppers and the black ones have now sold out!
“Lucy and I look forward to the new winter stock so we can organise our autumn FashionCapital sale!”
Jenny Holloway adds: “The dynamic duo of Cathy and Lucy has done it again. Fantastic sales last weekend at their home party! Go ladies go!”

This Week on FashionCapital.co.uk…
Rebekah reports on the rise of less abled people not gaining access to employment opportunities. At FashionCapital 10% of our workforce is less abled, including Rob (left) who has learning difficulties, Rob now works on the factory floor filling all warehouse and maintenance duties. “I enjoy working at Fashion Enter because there is never a dull moment. Whenever I need help with anything there is always someone around to help me out,” says Rob. The latest reports reveal that there is still an 18% pay gap in hourly wages between men and women, we ask why this is, and how the fashion sector which is predominantly female can strive to change this. And Danielle Griffiths talks to FashionCapital about what it takes to become a successful fashion stylist a week before her no-nonsense guidebook is due to hit the shelves.
