Newsletter 13th September 2017

Dear all,

Have you been following all the New York Fashion Week action? It was particularly interesting to see the immersive experience Artistic DirectorJean-Paul Goude created for the Desigual show. After all, it’s not just about selling the collection; it’s about marketing the brand and gaining plenty of all-important media attention. Goude is a master at creating a visual impact and for Desigual he has done it again. From Friday the fashion spotlight turns to London and the FashionCapital team will be there to report on all the action.

Diane Von Furstenberg commented at NYFW that working with Jonathan Saunders provided the perfect pairing for the brand. We have so much in common, it’s crazy.” Feeling in a New York state of mind, with a wee bit of home grown talent thrown in – we’ve picked out this striking stripe skirt, which has Jonathan’s signature all over it. The contrasting asymmetric panels swirl around the legs and a side-seam slit plays up that sense of movement. Available from the AW DVF collection via MatchesFashion.com at £332.

Until next time, have a great week.
