IMG 0019Newsletter 2nd March 2016

Dear All,

As Paris takes centre stage on the fashion circuit there is a notable feeling of industry change. From digital development, showing in-season and a sense of slowing down the fashion carousel which many believe is spinning out of control, note the number of creatives stepping down from their highly sought-after posts of late, the way we create, view and buy fashion is on the cusp of a new era.

Meanwhile at FashionCapital HQ:

As a part of a report on significant economic and employment growth in London Zones 2 & 3, overtaking Zone 1, we, along with Haringey council, were interviewed for the ITV local news.

2 march filming

Radio 4 have also dropped by and interviewed some of our Fashion Technology Academy students for a feature that discusses the sewing and production skills shortage. The feature will be aired tomorrow (Thursday 3rd March) on the You & Yours consumer affairs programme.

Vetigraph Taster

veti smallThe Vetigraph taster course took place at the FTA yesterday with a full class having an introductory session on the CAD/CAM system.

The learners all found the day a great introduction but have come away wanting to learn more!

I have learnt technical terms, basic functions of Vetigraph and examples on how to apply certain situations on industrial production. I would really like a longer course on Vetigraph as soon as possible!” – Iman

With such positive feedback we will now look at dates to hold the 3-day or 5-day Vetigraph course.

If you would like to enquire about dates, availability and costs please email jenni@fashion-enter.com

We had a surprise visit from blogger Jennifer Hooper who wore beautifully the Paisley dress in autumnal colours…it was lovely meeting Jennifer and we hope she enjoyed her visit! Here’s to collecting new stock and our next sale! Thank you all very much for your support.” – Cathy and Lucy
