30th May 2007
Hello All,
Here at FashionCapital we can not believe it’s the end of May already. Not only that but our rather fabulous summer wardrobes, thanks to Enter Boutique, have been layered up with knits, card’s and leggings again. Oh sunshine where art thou?
Enter Photo-Shoot
While we are on the topic of the boutique, tomorrow the Croydon shop will be buzzing with activity as designers and models get together for a promotional fashion shoot. Any budding young models out there why not pop over to the Enter Boutique in Croydon; there will be professionals on hand to give out advice, a guest appearance from Miss London, plus not forgetting to mention a few members of the press as well.

Grad Season
Attention in the fashion arena has indeed turned to the fresh and the new. Graduate season is in full-swing and kick starting the proceedings was an optimistic and inspirational show from the Royal College of Art. Milliner Soren Bach, was awarded the first Todd & Duncan Award for Excellence while womenswear designer David Longshaw has already bagged a top job at Alberta Ferretti. Here’s a taster of the designs from the show.
Yet more grad shows are scheduled throughout this week along with the well established Graduate Fashion Week at Battersea Park Arena. For anyone considering a career or course in fashion this event is a must. Don’t forget to visit our sister company Fashion-Enter on stand 162, you never know you might even bump into Victoria Beckham, apparently she will be judging the shortlisted collections in line for the River Island Gold Award with a £20,000 prize.

Profile
Providing a much needed bridge between Graduate Fashion Week and London Fashion Week is the Profile show. Confirmed for the 5th & 6th of November the Profile catwalk show, exhibition and competition will be integrated with Fashion Expo, a major showcase event for fashion manufacturers from the City Fringe and across London. Taking place at the Business Design Centre, Islington, FashionExpo will bring together manufacturers with designers, retailers and buyers to encourage the local sourcing of manufacturing.
Joy from CJ Poupazis jewellery, a previous Profile exhibitor mentioned just this week that: “We are getting a lot of exposure, thanks to Profile.
