Hi All,

It’s been a right old action packed week here at planet FashionCapital & sister co Fashion-Enter…

Enter Boutique Barking

Last week Enter opened its second boutique in Barking, East London. The unsuspecting public did not know what had hit them – a boutique offering unique up and coming designer ranges in their manor! One lady got beside herself and spent £500 on 4 dresses mentioning that she would usually have to go to the Westend to find something she liked, and even then the prices would be substantially higher. Want to check out the boutique for yourself? Then pop along to the Vicarage Field Shopping Centre opposite Barking tube and train station.

For a real taste of what the boutique has to offer come along to our Fashion Shows this Friday 7th. You never know you may well bump into Mayor Ken, along with a few other MPs and well-known faces. The collections will come to life courtesy of models from Divinity Model Agency, many thanks to them for working with us on the show.

More on Profile 8

Talking of well-known faces news has just come in regarding the compere for the Profile Champagne reception this November and all I can say is we are very excited – an official announcement will be made next week.

In fact FashionExpo in association with Profile 8 is hotting up rather nicely and we are currently in the midst of meeting short-listed designers for the final catwalk & exhibition selection. Due to the incredible response we regret that we cannot give every designer a place – but as always we will ensure that the selection process is 100% fair and offer feedback and advice where needed.

As reported last week chain store giant TopShop has joined FashionExpo and further discussions are also underway with another retailer – so watch this space. This is great news for UK based designers and manufacturers with all this talk of carbon footprints isn’t it about time we began to embrace the industry that’s right on our doorstep?

Here is a sneak preview of the floor plan just to get you in the show mood.

The New York shows are on as we speak and we have two FC contributors checking out all the latest goings on Stateside  so more from them in the coming week. The FC team will of course be checking out London Fashion Week which commences from the 15th hope to see you there.

Boutique of the Week

We couldn’t help but notice that the nights are drawing in there’s and a nip in the air so with this in mind our boutique of the week comes courtesy of Dasmarca. This wraparound collar / scarf should keep those chills at bay of an evening.

Style Addict: Is style finally getting a conscience?
I know we’ve been harping on about ethical this and eco that for years now but lately it seems the wheels are turning and picking up speed. This last month has been particularly enlightening on the ethical fashion front and there’s more to come [More->>]
