3rd October 2007

Hello All,

Much like the jam-packed International show schedule we’ve got so much to tell you it’s difficult to know where to begin!

Eric Way Show Tickets

First off, big congratulations to Ana Pingol and Angela Humphreys and their plus 1’s who will be attending the Eric Way Demelza evening soiree and fashion show tonight. They successfully answered the FashionCapital competition question and will be sipping champagne and hobnobbing with the best of them. The evening will no doubt be a glamorous affair with a collection preview, raffle and proceeds going to Demelza Hospice Care for Children.

www.fashioncapitalboutique.com

Along with a brand new look this autumn FashionCapital will be launching a stand alone ecommerce boutique www.fashioncapitalboutique.com – the site will be hyperlinked from the main FashionCapital site and have its own PR campaign targeted at consumer press. The move is a natural progression to ensure that designers on the boutique receive maximum PR and exposure and consumers can easily find the unique designs they are looking for.

The cost of an ecommerce boutique on this site will be £250 plus VAT for non Fashion-Enter members. For those that are members of Fashion-Enter the cost will be subsidized to £100 plus VAT. Those interested should contact Vanessa vanessa@fashion-enter.com Tel: 020 8462 9620. Work on the new FashionCapital Boutique is currently underway and the site will be ready at the beginning of November.

Eastbury School and Barking College

We would also like to say a big welcome to Eastbury school, our sister company Fashion-Enter is currently working with the school as well as Barking College who are about to embark on a Design a T-Shirt Competition with TopShop. How’s that for exposure! There will be a briefing with TopShop on the 11th October along with a trip to their flagship Oxford Street Store. More on this soon.

On FC this week:

While TopShop is in the frame our editor JoJo Iles caught up with Buying Director, Caren Downie for a quick chat to read the interview click here. You know we like to tell you how it is warts and all here at FashionCapital and while fashion may look all glossy and glamorous from the outside those in the industry know what a hard slog it can be. Check out this diary from fashion designer Simon Ekrelius and his first experience of exhibiting at Paris  Expo for a taste of the blood, sweat and tears that goes into a collection. As for trends we have a London Fashion Week S/S 08 round-up and a future A/W 08/09 trend report courtesy of Premiere Vision coming your way soon.
