Newsletter 26th April 2017

Dear all,

8 feb fabric seminarWhen we talk about fashion we often think cut, style and trends and yet the very substance that creates each and every garment, fabric, can often get overlooked. Today former Fabric Technologist for M&S Deborah Shulton (right) is introducing an essential guide to textiles and its relationship with garment manufacturing on her half-day course Fabric Appreciation at the Fashion Technology Academy. With Fashion Revolution Week well underway the 2017 Transparency Index revealed that big brands are beginning to make their supplier lists public, however, not one brand is publishing its raw material suppliers – which just goes to show how covert the industry still is today.

Fashion Enter Supports Fashion Revolution Week

In this day and age we believe as a company that all garment production workers have a right to a fair wage, ethical and fair working practices, safe equipment and environments and realistic workloads. As we think back to this time in 2013 and the Rana Plaza disaster it is hard to believe that production workers are having to endure such hazardous working conditions in the name of fast fashion. Factory fires, slave labour, and appalling working conditions the list goes on and is happening right now. To find out how you can help make that change and join the Revolution click here.
