News from Rosie at The Fashion Studio
We have worked with Tallulah & Hope an exciting and dynamic beach kaftan brand for several years. We have always enjoyed their eye-catching prints and easy to wear shapes. Here we catch up with Lisa Ispani the co-director to find out more about the brand, and their part in the upcoming Ab Fab movie…pass the Bolly!
In 2009 I was travelling to Mexico on holiday and found it hard to find a well-designed kaftan that I liked that’s when I became inspired to launch a beach wear label. I had been working in PR (fashion and lifestyle) and teamed up with Zoe Holborough an old friend who had studied fine art at Chelsea Art College and St Martins and was working as a stylist and costume designer. I had always admired Zoe’s aesthetic, creative talent and instinctive great style – she is responsible for creating the beautiful signature prints we produce for each season.
Fashion Enter was recommended to us and we have worked with them on and off since we launched the brand for both our sampling and production. One of the biggest challenges as a new independent label is finding reliable production. Our garments are quite simple in construction but they require a beautiful finish and attention to detail such as fin pin hems. Fashion Enter have been consistent and reliable and we really value this.
Since we launched the brand Tallulah & Hope has featured in leading media titles such as: US Vogue, The Times, Telegraph and Observer magazine, ES magazine, Conde Nast Traveler, and Grazia and has attracted the attention of several high-profile women and fashion influencers. Women like Sienna Miller, Dita Von Teese and Jodie Kidd. Excitingly T&H kaftans from our SS16 collection will be worn by Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders, the stars of Ab Fab: The Movie. The film is set for release in July 2016.
