How to Succeed in Fashion Seminar is a ‘Huge Success’


On the 10th April Fashion Capital hosted the seminar at a new location of The Factory, with a variety of industry professionals and guest speakers including Marks & Spencer assistant buyer, Lauren Jolly.

Aimed at new businesses and fashion designers the seminar was hosted at The Fashion Enter Factory in North London. It included a range of topics all aimed at up and coming designers and business start-ups with the help from our guest speakers; Lauren Jolly – Assistant buyer at M&S, Nick Gould – Partner at Collyer Bristow, Tanya Elizabeth – Designer, Jenni Sutton – Development Manager at Fashion Enter, Jenny Holloway – Director at Fashion Enter, Maya Balcerzak – Studio Assistant at The Fashion Studio, Dan Sherfield – Investment Manager at Fashion Enter and head of Technical Service at ASOS Sophie Glover.

Topics included The Buying Cycle and importance of copyrighting your designs to sampling and production and importance of garment technology. A tour of the Fashion Enter Factory, provided further insight to the manufacturing process.
