Midlands Fashion Awards – Final Chance to Apply

On Sunday 23rd July the MFA team invites possible applicants to meet the judges:
Fashion stylists, hairstylists, make-up artists, photographers and fashion designers, present your look book or designs to industry professionals including fashion scout Debra Hepburn, Founder of ‘Young British Designers’ who will be selecting the finalists for this year’s Midlands Fashion Awards.
MFA 2017 will be held on Friday the 20th October 2017 at the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, CBSO Centre, Birmingham. The event provides an industry networking platform along with the chance of gaining further media exposure and work featured in Style Birmingham.
This Year’s Categories are:
Independent Fashion Designer of the Year
Emerging Designer of the Year
Accessory Designer of the Year
Young Fashion Designer of the Year (Graduates)
Professional Hair Stylist of the Year
Rising Star Award (Hairstylists)
Professional Make-up Artist of the Year
Rising Star Award (Make-up Artist)
Professional/ Non-professional Fashion Stylist of the Year
Fashion Photographer of the Year
Model of the Year
Models are welcome to apply for the ‘Model of the Year’ category as well as audition to be a part of the evening catwalk show. Female models need to be at least 5ft 8” and male models 5ft “11”.
For the open casting and to meet the judges please come along to Great Western Arcade, Colmore Row, Birmingham B2 5HU on Sunday 23rd July 2017 between 11am and 3.00pm.
