Offering ethical garments that combine the softest certified organic cotton with simple yet sensuous, vintage designs the duo hope to make women feel, look and do good. Adding AmaElla Ethical Lingerie Pyjama set Cottonbamboo to their designs, the brand ensure all of their products are manufactured ethically, only using organisations that adhere to their personal strict social and environmental criteria.

“As consumers, we are both very mindful of health, ethical and style concerns.”

Left frustrated that they were unable to find stylish, non-synthetic lingerie the friends and business partners brainstormed and launched their very own brand that would provide women with just that with the help of crowd-funding.

“Upeffect is a crowd-funding platform for conscious consumers. It’s a great fit with our target audience.” Explains Lara.

Through the use of crowd-funding and their upcoming event the duo hope to raise £10,000 to go towards the first production run. Offering a range of rewards to those that invest in the brand including pre-ordering at discounted prices, Lara and Julie hope that investors will see an investment in a new ethical brand as the biggest reward of them all.

AmaElla will present their collection, promote crowd-funding and offer an inspiring evening with a number of industry experts whom will all share their views on ethical fashion on the 20th October at the Espresso Library, Cambridge from 6.30pm onwards.

“We are so excited about launching and seeing how much interest there is for our ethical brand!”
