FashionCapital Stand Mobbed at Skills London

16-11-2015
Held at ExCeL, on the 13th & 14th of November, Skills London 2015 presented visitors with careers, jobs and training options from a broad range of sectors. Focusing on young people aged 15-24 the event attracts more than 30,000 individuals across two days. Many of the career stands offered interactive experiences to give visitors the chance to try new skills, take testing challenges and learn about all the options available. Mayor of London Boris Johnson supported the event and tried his luck with the football challenge on the Spurs Foundation stand (pictured right).
The FashionCapital stand was bustling with activity across the two-days and the team was kept busy with visitors asking questions, filling in contact forms and entering our ‘Party Outfit Design Competition’.
Alongside the garment life cycle display visitors were able to learn about the fashion and textiles apprenticeship programme and the benefits of training for a qualification whilst simultaneously working in industry and getting paid. There was also practical and hands-on advice with the various courses offered at the Stitching Academy and the Fashion Technology Academy.
Feedback included:
